Mr William (Bill) Shelton - Chairman
Bill has over 50 years of knowledge and experience in all aspects of commercial property and farming operations. He is the co-founder of Allard Shelton a leading commercial property valuer, asset manager, property sales/acquisition agency servicing institutional and professional investors. Bill continues to actively consult on behalf of the firm. His illustrious career includes 26 years as a Director of The Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV) which is a peak organization (annual revenue A$584 million) providing finance, insurance (cars, home & contents), holidays resorts, and service for its 2.1 million members. Bill is also on the Board of numerous companies. He is a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute. In 2007, he was honoured with the inaugural API Legend Award for his valuable and distinguished contributions to the property valuation industry. Bill brings vast business experience and network to APDC. His family has been farming in Central Victoria for over 150 years which he continues to do today
Mr Alan Bowman - Deputy Chairman
Alan has a long and acclaimed career in Australian agribusiness, farming operations, and downstream food production for the retail consumer market. He is enthused about vertical integration in agribusiness to secure sustainable profitability with the production and sales of high quality value-added products for the benefit of all stakeholders in the food pipeline.
Currently, Alan is the chairman of Prime Super - a A$3 billion industry superfund servicing regional Australia as well as the health/aged care services sector. He is also a Director of the Agricultural Company of Australia (Agrico) a major horticultural agribusiness providing wine grapes, almonds, and stone fruit. In previous years, Alan has held leadership positions in the Victorian Farmers Federation Livestock Group (President), National Farmers Federation Workplace Relations (Chairman), Animal Welfare Advisory Committee (Chairman), Port of Melbourne Authority (Board Member), Wool Council of Australia (President), and the Australian Wool Testing Authority (Director). Privately, Alan has owne/operated broad acre farms producing beef, prime lamb, wool, as well as grain cropping. Currently, he owns/operates a successful dairy farming operation in Victoria.
Mr J Beau Tin - Executive Director & Responsible Manager
Beau is an investment veteran in global financial markets. He has over 30 years’ experience as a leading investment manager and portfolio advisor with leading global investment banks including Potter Warburg (now UBS), ANZ Securities (now Morgan Stanley), Merrill Lynch and Macquarie Bank. During this time, he provided asset allocation strategies, global portfolio investment management services, price risk hedging programs, and capital raising advice to high net worth investors as well as corporates in both Australia and the Asia Pacific Region. Currently, he is Director Global Investments - Cashel House Group.
Beau holds a Bachelor of Business Degree from RMIT University and is a level 2 accredited derivatives advisor. He brings to APDC extensive international trading and capital risk management experience across a range of financial activities. His focus is always the efficient delivery of superior outcomes to investors. Over the last fifteen years, Beau has acquired extensive knowledge of the ever-changing global food distribution infrastructure and marketing systems in China/Asia.
